Hancock and Ubuntu Linux 8.04

Well over the past week, I saw the movie Hancock. I liked the movie because of the fact that it was not the average superhero movie. I also liked how the trailers did not give away most of the movie, they barely scratched the surface. The movie was very well done, and the cinematography was very cool. I would give it an A overall.

Recently I chose to install Ubuntu Linux 8.04. I haven't had any success with Linux lately, because of the fact that I use ATi and it is not supported by Linux very well. I chose to install the newer version and was very pleased. You can view several different desktops at once and if you can view them on a cube. I find this feature very useful to switch between different tasks. The effects are amazing and the operating system itself is very nice.

Well, thats all for today. I hope that Brian has good luck on his new blog,

The Squirell War, Computer Problems, and A Black Eye

Well, I've been noticing a interesting event in my backyard. It all started one day when a squirell raided a bird's nest for it's eggs. Multiple birds went after the squirell which made my dog go crazy. A bird then fell out of the tree, and my dog caught it.

Now the birds register my dog as a threat and try to attack him. The birds also attack squirells now. So its pretty much a war. Just a really interesting thing. Its probably not going to end for a while, my dog's not going to get hurt and we have way too many birds and squirells for these things to give up/die.

Well on a different topic, my computer's water cooling system died on me thursday night, I bought a new part to fix the problem but it won't show up until Wednesday or Thursday. Its quite a bummer really. My mom's computer is also broken but I have no idea what is wrong with it.

Now comes to 'The Incident'. I was running with my dog (like I usually do) and then I don't really know what happened but something made me fall and hit my head on the road, causing me to pass out. I don't know how long I was out but I'm guessing using my standard time for that path, about no more than three minutes. I then woke up to my dog licking my face, flagged down a car and got home.

My right arm has a large abrasion right below the elbow from skidding on the road along with a golf-ball sized abrasion on my shoulder from landing on my shoulder. I got a black eye probably because I hit my head on the asphault along with a couple cuts around my eye. My hands have tiny cuts on them but they'll heal.
